large hanging space for clothes, big TV with lots of channels, nice big windows keeping the room cool
Room too small to qualify as a double, everything in Porthcawl closes too early!!! Improvement needed for room size and nightlife options!!!

great access to parks and local beaches for city walks
I loved how I was only less than a 5-minute walk from the pier and 500 meters from Newton Beach, making my weekend strolls incredibly enjoyable and relaxing. the continental breakfast, though basic, was good and served at the spot, allowing for a convenient start to my mornings before heading out to explore.

The room was super clean and we got to check in early, which was a nice surprise. Relaxing by the pool and enjoying the beachfront were definite highlights for us. Just a bit of noise from neighboring guests disturbed our sleep a little, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay! 🌊

A quirky but cozy stay
Had a fun 4-night stay here. The place was super clean and had an awesome bottle of wine waiting for us. Really loved the location, so close to everything! Just a bummer that the shower had a leak and the flat was on the 3rd floor, no fire escape. Overall neat stay though!

The shower control was poor, yet the room was cozy and welcoming.

The continental breakfast was spot on, especially with all those local pastries! The location was a total gem, just a short stroll to the beach and handy to all the local eateries, like Isabella's and The Pier Cafe. Plus, the folks running the place were super friendly.
But beware, mates! No shower gel in sight, and the room could use a fresh lick of paint. Plus, the noise from other guests was a bit much for this light sleeper.

Well-maintained new carpet in the room, which added a fresh touch. The recent paint job in Room 2 gave it a clean, inviting vibe, enhancing the overall ambiance.
Some of the floorboards are sunken beneath the carpet, creating an awkward unevenness. The bathroom setup needs serious attention. the shower door doesn’t close correctly, and the shower tray feels unstable. There’s not a lot of room for toiletries, making it a hassle during your stay. Bright exit light feels overwhelming, especially during the night. Plus, the noisy guests next door on the second night really disrupted the peace and quiet you might hope for.

My stay at Mary House was enjoyable with its excellent location just minutes from the beach. The continental breakfast brought a delightful start to my day. While the room's decor could use an update, the amenities met my needs well enough for a brief visit.

Clean and Comfortable Stay
I enjoyed my 3-night stay in a clean and comfortable double room with en-suite. The powerful shower was a highlight, and the breakfast offered a generous selection of cereals and pastries. The location was perfect, close to the sea front and shops, making it easy to explore Porthcawl. Though my stay was great, a little more attention to decor updates would enhance the overall experience.
